Multifaceted Architecture for DODE

Current Definition
A domain-independent architecture underlying the development of domain-oriented design environments. Components include construction, specification, simulation, catalog, argumentation. components are linked by knowledge-based mechanisms, such as critics and specification-linking rules. Examples of systems that are built upon the MFA are the specific DODES described (e.g., Janus, KID, VDDE). It is not necessary that each component is present in every DODE.
